We
invite you to join with us in exploring the beauty of the
natural world in the wonderful diversity of LaPorte County
. . . and to open a wider window on the world of nature
through National Audubon and links to similar interests.
The only national environmental organization with a LaPorte
County chapter, Potawatomi Audubon works to promote your
concerns where they count most -- right here at home!
Audubon
membership is open to all upon payment of annual dues. With
one fee you become a member of the National Audubon Society
and your local Potawatomi chapter. Click on the “Join
Us” page to become a member.
As
a member, you will receive the beautiful and informative
Audubon magazine and our chapter newsletter. You add your
voice to that of nearly 600,000 other Americans who are
dedicated to maintaining and restoring our environment.
We welcome your inquiries about current programs. E-mail
to mjpflum@csinet.net
or pabenn@netnitco.net.
Or call 879-0052 in Michigan City or 324-0649 in LaPorte
to contact one of our local activists. Click
here for a map to our meeting location.
YOU
WILL FIND SOMETHING to engage your interest in our varied
program meetings. We meet at 7:30 p.m. on the third Thursday
evening of May, September and October at the NIPSCO Training
Center, Zigler Road, LaPorte. Our November, January, February
and March meetings will be held at the same place, but at
2 p.m. on the third Sunday afternoon. See announcements
for the December potluck and June picnics. Watch for program
announcements and locations here and in our newsletter and
local papers. Guests always are welcome.
